Tempting Persephone

"The masters of information have forgotten about poetry, where words may have a meaning quite different from what the lexicon says, where the metaphoric spark is always one jump ahead of the decoding function, where another, unforeseen reading is always possible."
— J.M. Coetzee

"Books admitted me to their world open-handedly, as people, for the most part, did not. The life I lived in books was one of ease and freedom, wordly wisdom, glitter, dash and style."
-Jonathan Raban (via thegirlandherbooks)

All that light, all that power.
I want it all.
Siege and Storm

One of my favorite aspects of Siege and Storm is Alina’s greed for power being so integrated and natural, yet terrifying and understandable all at the same time. It was an amazing part of Alina’s character development.
Another early birthday present for Leigh? We can call this that.
(I don’t own any of the images used.)

Omg. I LOVE this. And thanks for the kind words <3
